The Caring Princess (Japanese: 慈愛の王女 Princess of Mercy) is the thirteenth paralogue chapter of Fire Emblem Engage, unlocked upon the completion of Chapter 20. As a paralogue chapter, its events are not integral to the game's main storyline and can be done at the player's leisure. In this chapter, Alear takes on a challenge from Emblem Celica in a place familiar to her in order to deepen their bonds.

The Caring Princess/Script
Alear arrives on an island off the coast of Solm, which Celica likens to the Seabound Shrine from her world. She reminisces on the start of her journey, and laments her stubbornness for having come to the island in the first place, as it housed a necrodragon. Alear reaffirms her tale and her decision to help others in need, saying they would do the same. Afterwards, Celica challenges Alear to a trial which will strengthen their bonds, which Alear accepts.
Alear manages to defeat Celica, who congratulates them on their victory. She urges them to continue forging all of their bonds, as they will grant them the strength to save the world, and build a new one with kindness. Though Alear doubts themself, Celica assures them that they are capable of doing so.

Trivia
- This chapter is based off of the map Beast Hunt from Act 2 of Fire Emblem Gaiden and its remake, Echoes: Shadows of Valentia.
- The High Priest reinforcements from the south do not actually use their Warp staves on the Phantom Wyrms, but rather the Wyrms are teleported through the map's script. This is further proven by High Priests' Warp staves not decreasing in durability.
