The Wo Dao (Japanese: 倭刀 Japanese Sword) is a rare sword which first appeared in Fire Emblem: The Binding Blade. It is characterized as a foreign and exotic weapon, which originally was specifically associated with the Sacaens of Elibe in The Binding Blade and Fire Emblem: The Blazing Blade. Originally in its debut in the Elibe games, it is an alternative to the Killing Edge with a lower weapon level and an even higher critical rate, but in exchange it can only be used by Myrmidons, Swordmasters, and Blade Lords, all of which are classes strongly associated with the Wo Dao's culture of origin, Sacae. Its later appearances remove the class restrictions on usability, but its critical rate remains very potent.
