The Trainer (Japanese: 訓練用の剣 Training Sword) is a weak sword exclusive to Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance's Prologue. Characterized as a simple sword designed to be safe for training, it appears only in the Prologue's training sequences with Ike and Greil, and does not resurface for the rest of the game.

Trivia
- Despite its description's claim that it "deals no real damage", the Trainer is actually statistically superior to the Iron Sword in every respect save its inability to deal critical hits.
- The French and Italian translations of Path of Radiance rename the Trainer "bronze sword", likely because the Trainer is internally known by the game by the file name "BRONZESWORD". This matches the Bronze Sword that would be introduced in the next game, and the Trainer and the Radiant Dawn Bronze Sword even share the same inability to inflict critical hits.
